PA: Two ghost guns found during drug bust at York County home

More ghost guns were found at a York County crime scene.

The homemade guns are untraceable, and anyone can buy them without a background check.

The district attorney’s office said the York County Drug Task Force served a warrant Tuesday at a home in the 900 block of Redbud Court in Manchester Township.

Investigators said they found the following:

  • Four handguns, two of which were ghost guns.
  • Fentanyl.
  • A marijuana growing operation with 11 plants.
  • Several pounds of loose and packaged marijuana.
  • Marijuana edibles.
  • Drug distribution paraphernalia.
  • $12,000 cash.

Gabriel Rosario-Ruiz, 31, and his girlfriend, 34-year-old Latima Backus, were in located a locked second-floor bathroom, investigators said.

Rosario-Ruiz was charged with several drug distribution offenses, criminal conspiracy, tampering with evidence and firearms violations.

Backus was charged with drug distribution offenses and criminal conspiracy.

In April, President Joe Biden called for tougher regulations on ghost guns, including serial numbers and background checks. Right now, anyone can buy the parts to make them online.
