A Florida doctor has been formally charged with a felony after allegedly removing fentanyl from an ICU patient's IV line during a night shift at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital.
The State of Florida has officially charged a local physician on Monday with possession of fentanyl following a December 2024 incident at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce. According to prosecutors, Dr. Sasha Boris Grek withdrew the powerful opioid directly from a patient’s IV line using a syringe while on duty in the intensive care unit.
