NADDI of FLORIDA

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the Home Page of the Florida Chapter of the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators, also known as NADDI of Florida. This chapter was formed in 2001 and is continuing to attract new members. NADDI of Florida currently has members from local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, state regulatory agencies, insurance investigators and other professionals involved in the investigation of pharmaceutical diversion.

The goals of NADDI of Florida are to provide education and training to our members relating to the identification, investigation and current trends of pharmaceutical drug diversion. We also provide our members with a strong network of nationwide contacts with other agencies and investigators involved in the field of drug diversion.

The chapter sponsors at least one meeting and training session a year.

The membership fee to join NADDI is $75.00 per year; this includes state and national fees.

CHAPTER HISTORY

Florida was the 10th State to establish a chapter within the NADDI organization. The State Chapter was approved on June 29, 2001 and has been one of the largest chapters for its 18 years in the organization. The Florida Chapter has provided numerous varied training’s and resources to its members over the years, holding Basic Diversion Schools, Health Facility Training’s, and even a “NADDI Roadshow.” The NADDI Roadshow was when the Florida Chapter, in conjunction with the Florida Attorney General’s Office and NADDI National performed five 1-day training’s in a week at various locations across the state of Florida. The NADDI Florida Chapter has also been involved in community events holding several Town Hall Meetings, and statewide Drug Take Back events; each time involving over sixty law enforcement agencies across the state collecting record numbers of surrendered pharmaceuticals for disposal.

The Florida Chapter team has always remained up-to-date and involved various legislative initiatives involving pharmaceutical crimes, regulatory standards, and prevention initiatives. We thank the Florida Board of Directors for their dedication and their efforts!
