Florida Flag NADDI of Florida

NADDI’s objective is simple: to improve its members’ ability to investigate, prosecute, and prevent illicit drug diversion.

Introduction

Welcome to the Home Page of the Florida Chapter of NADDI, also known as NADDI of Florida. Our goals are to provide education and training that will help our members identify illicit drug activity; to enhance drug prevention and investigation practices; and to promote cooperation and networking between stakeholders.

NADDI of Florida was established in 2001, and has consistently been an active chapter. Some of our members have been involved with NADDI from its inception. Our members are from local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, state regulatory agencies, healthcare fraud investigators and pharmacy loss prevention. All of our members provide valuable time, energy, and resources to curb the current drug epidemic in the State of Florida.

NADDI of Florida’s main objective is to provide networking and training for the State of Florida. Our goal is to provide cooperative education and training in the current drug trends and specifics of illicit drug activity, including drug diversion, healthcare fraud, and techniques used for the investigation, prosecution and prevention within the state and nationwide.  We encourage the sharing of investigative information and communicating trends with our members. We strive to develop more effective measures to combat the illicit drug problem and enhance your individual job skills. We praise our members and the accomplishments of their efforts.

During the course of attaining that objective, NADDI of Florida will promote an atmosphere of cooperation and sharing of information between members and their respective agencies.

Stay tuned, there is so much more to come!

NADDI of Florida ~ Chapter History

Florida was the 10th State to establish a chapter within the NADDI organization. The State Chapter was approved on June 29, 2001 and has been one of the largest chapters for its 23 years in the organization. The Florida Chapter has provided numerous varied training’s and resources to its members over the years, holding Basic Diversion Schools, Health Facility Training’s, and even a “NADDI Roadshow.” The NADDI Roadshow was when the Florida Chapter, in conjunction with the Florida Attorney General’s Office and NADDI National performed five 1-day training’s in a week at various locations across the state of Florida. The NADDI Florida Chapter has also been involved in community events holding several Town Hall Meetings, and statewide Drug Take Back events; each time involving over sixty law enforcement agencies across the state collecting record numbers of surrendered pharmaceuticals for disposal.

The Florida Chapter team has always remained up-to-date and involved various legislative initiatives involving pharmaceutical crimes, regulatory standards, and prevention initiatives. We thank the Florida Board of Directors for their dedication and their efforts!
