Covid-19

Dear Friends of NADDI:

During this time of unprecedented uncertainty, the NADDI Executive Board is concerned about the safety and well-being of our families, colleagues, members, partners, and the many friends who make up NADDI’s vibrant family. Together with the NADDI Executive Board, I pray that you and your family are safe and healthy during these unique times across our cities and states.

The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic has been dynamic and intense for all of us in the past few months. As the global pandemic continues, so does the world’s opioid epidemic. NADDI is greatly concerned by an increasing number of reports from national, state, and local media suggesting increases in opioid-related deaths – particularly from illicitly manufactured synthetic opioids such as fentanyl, fentanyl analogs, and several new emerging synthetics. Despite the challenges, we must fight harder to address the nation’s opioid epidemic and maintain our focus.

The Governor of Indiana announced that the state was proceeding into Phase 4 of COVID-19 allowing for meetings of 250+ attendees within social distancing guidelines.  After several weeks of careful consideration by the NADDI Executive Board; working with our Conference Direct Partner and the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, NADDI is proceeding with our Annual Conference.

On October 13-15, 2020, NADDI, partnering with Law Enforcement, State Agencies, Healthcare Facilities and Pharma, will host our 31st Annual Conference live at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Indianapolis.

Our top priority is the health and safety of our attendees. We are carefully monitoring the rapidly changing situation, following guidance from both the CDC and local health authorities. Together with the Hyatt Regency, best practices will be followed, and a social distancing conference room and vendor foyer has been specially designed to maintain a safe environment for everyone.

We also understand that due to COVID-19 and recent events, law enforcement training budgets are non-existent. In a recent survey to our members, lack of budgets was the majority reason that our members would not be able to attend the annual conference.

So, NADDI together with our corporate members and partners are working to obtain funding to provide complimentary scholarships for a number of LE registrations to the annual conference. Stay tuned for more information.

We hope that many of you can join us in Indianapolis. For additional information and online registration visit our 31st Annual Conference page.

Kindness, patience and partnership will get us through this and we are here for you.

Warm regards,
