TX: Multiple Walgreens locations in Austin robbed, police searching for suspect

PHARMACY ROBBERY ALERT – Suspect is wanted for a series of robberies

The Austin Police Department Robbery Unit is asking the public for help in identifying and locating the suspect in a series of robberies at Walgreens locations in Austin.

The robberies happened throughout the month of April beginning on April 1 at the Walgreens at 3407 W. Wells Branch Parkway. The second robbery happened at the Walgreens at 5345 N. I-35 on April 8 and the most recent happened at the Walgreens at 12550 Metric Boulevard on April 28.

The suspect is described as follows:

  • White male
  • Early to mid-20s
  • Thin build
  • Light brown hair and eyes
  • Light brown stubble/possible facial hair
  • Last seen wearing white surgical mask, grey hoodie, off-white or grey pants, black and white tennis shoes (possibly Vans)

Police say the suspect uses a similar routine each time. He enters the store, possibly with a weapon in his pocket, and demands money from the cashier. He then takes off on foot.

There have been no injuries associated with any of the incidents.

Police have also released a video regarding the robberies.
