The 2nd Vice President performs all/any of the duties assigned by the Executive Board. Rob’s duties include the oversight and maintenance of Robert’s Rules of Order and adherence to strict policy and procedure guidelines.

Rob has kept procedures for NADDI in line for over a decade, and he is invaluable in his position!

Robert H. (Rob) Amiet, Jr., RPh, MBA. Mr. Amiet earned his B.S. in Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University in 1973 and Masters in Business Administration degree in 1983 from the University of Dayton. 

Mr. Amiet has been a practicing Pharmacist for over 45 years, in both community and hospital  pharmacy, as well as for the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, from which he recently retired after almost 28 years.  While with the Board, Mr. Amiet consulted with pharmacists, physicians, health professionals, legislators, law enforcement officials, and the public regarding the practice of pharmacy.  He conducted compliance inspections of hospitals, pharmacies and physicians’ offices throughout the State of Ohio, and conducted investigations into the illegal distribution of prescription drugs and Controlled Substances.  In this regard, Mr. Amiet was a qualified expert in the practice of pharmacy and pharmacy law in State and Federal Court.  During his tenure with the Board, Mr. Amiet also directed a joint project between the Pharmacy Board and the FDA’s Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) that involved an in-depth analysis of the animal drug industry.

Mr. Amiet also presented Law Review continuing education for the Pharmacy Board from 1986 until his retirement.  Mr. Amiet has also been active in local government holding such positions as city councilman, planning commissioner, parks and recreation commissioner.
Mr. Amiet become president of NADDI of Ohio in 2001 until 2008.  He was the longest standing president of this chapter.  In 2008, Mr. Amiet became 2nd Vice President of National NADDI, the position he currently holds.

Mr. Amiet has been an adjunct professor at Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy from 2014 through 2016.
