A collaboration between law enforcement, pharmacies, technology providers and NADDI, the mission of the program is to assist law enforcement efforts to prevent, deter, and investigate the retail theft of prescription drugs, particularly Opioids. This is accomplished by facilitating steps to enable the placement of a proven resource (a look-alike pharmaceutical bottle) that blends with the pharmacy inventory and that can be electronically tracked. In the event of a pharmacy robbery, the look-alike bottles are easily provided to the perpetrators; an immediate alert is sent to the registered law enforcement agency advising them of the robbery and the electronic signal from the device can be tracked, leading to the arrest of the perpetrators.
“When my pharmacy was robbed, we were able to retrieve every last bottle within 2 hours. I consider this program necessity for every pharmacy out there.”
“The Bottle Tracking Program that NADDI has implemented across the nation has single-handedly saved hundreds of lives in my state.”
