NY: State police warn of counterfeit oxycodone pills in North Country

Counterfeit oxycodone pills have been found being sold in North Country

New York State Police are asking the public to be vigilant because counterfeit oxycodone pills have been found being sold in North Country.

Police in Clinton County have been investigating where the pills are coming from, according to New York State Police.

The pills are believed to have compressed fentanyl. State troopers are urging the public to be careful when buying any prescription-grade medications that have not been prescribed by a doctor or have not been sold to them by a pharmacy.

Oxycodone pills are blue with an “M” on one side and a “30″ on the other.

Police ask anyone who has information about the counterfeit oxycodone pills to contact their local police department.
