A Norton physician has been charged with obtaining drugs by fraud and related crimes.
Dr. Raymond Michael Moore, 61, of Wise, was arrested July 3, according to a press release from U.S. Attorney Thomas T. Cullen and Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring. He is charged in a federal criminal complaint with obtaining schedule II and schedule IV controlled substances by fraud or misrepresentation, failing to maintain proper records for schedule II and schedule IV controlled substances and making false statements.
