SPRINGFIELD – Springfield police arrested an Indian Orchard man on drug and weapons charges on Monday after a raid on his residence led to the discovery of some heroin, cocaine, and an illegal ‘ghost’ gun, police said.

Percy Coleman, 47, was taken into custody after members of the Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on his residence on Centre Street, said police spokesman Ryan Walsh. He was apprehended as he tried to run out the back door.

Police found 7.2 grams of cpcaine, or around a quarter ounce, and a single bag of heroin. They also found two loaded handguns, one of which was a gun made of untraceable components. That gun was fitted with an illegal large-capacity magazine and loaded with 19 rounds. Massachusetts limits magazines to 10 rounds.
He is due to be arraigned Tuesday in Springfield District Court.
Springfield police have so far seized 92 illegal firearms this year.
