Chemical name: N-[2-(dimethylamino)cyclohexyl]-N-methylnaphthalene-2-carboxamide, also know as 2-naphthyl U-47700 is a newly emerging synthetic opioid (2021)

Synth-Opioids participants from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation shared information on the first appearance of 2-naphthyl
U-47700 in several samples on May 11, 2021.

Initial mass spectral library searches hit on 1-naphthyl U-47700, but the retention times did not match. The substance was confirmed as 2-naphthyl U-47700 after obtaining a commercial reference standard. Commercial analytical reference standards categorized 2-Naphthyl U-47700 as a utopioid.

Appearance: Seen as a white and brown substance, an off-white powder, and gelatin capsules containing a tan substance.
Other components: Samples seen with tramadol, fentanyl, and heroin.
