Dimethyl sulfone (MSM) is the most commonly analyzed adulterant in methamphetamine samples. Dimethyl sulfone is marketed as a dietary supplement. It is readily available and is often used as an adulterant due to its physical appearance being similar to that of methamphetamine.
Dimethylsulfone is also been identified as an adulterant in cocaine samples.
