NADDI of TEXAS

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the Home Page of the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators of Texas (NADDI of Texas).

NADDI of Texas is a Region 5 State Chapter of the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators, a non-profit organization working to facilitate cooperation between law enforcement, healthcare professionals, state regulatory agencies and pharmaceutical manufacturers in the prevention and investigation of prescription drug procurement through theft or fraud (diversion).

NADDI defines drug diversion as “any criminal act involving a prescription drug.”

The NADDI of Texas Chapter requests our Texas members to focus & share your experience(s) on the growth of prescription/pharmaceutical drug theft, fraud and distribution in our communities.  The Texas Chapter members are working to partner with local, state and federal authorities investigating and resolving cases involving these drugs. In addition to our knowledge and experience in this specific area we offer the following resources.

Cooperative education and training in the current trends and specifics of pharmaceutical drug diversion, investigation, prosecution and prevention within the state and nationwide;
Sharing investigative information and communicating with a wide variety of interested parties with regard to the nature, scope and impact of pharmaceutical drug diversion;
Developing more effective measures to combat the problem and enhancing your individual job skills.

Please consider contacting us in the event you are looking for additional resources, information, training or support in this work.

CHAPTER HISTORY

Texas was the 7th State to establish a chapter within the NADDI organization.  The State Chapter was approved on October 11, 1999 and was active for over 10 years; unfortunately, it was dissolved in 2011 when the Board of Directors dissipated.

In 2022 Texas members showed great interest in reviving their State Chapter and petitioned the Executive Board for reinstatement. On October 3, 2022 the Executive Board approved the reinstatemnt of the Texas Chapter of NADDI. We thank the Texas Board of Directors for all their efforts!

We would also like to thank the following Texas members who have volunteered their time and efforts to the NADDI organization and the Texas State Chapter Board of Directors!
