INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the Home Page of the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators, also known as NADDI of Oklahoma. Our goals are to provide training that will help our members conduct drug diversion investigations and to promote cooperation and networking between investigators, law enforcement members, healthcare professionals and agencies to prevent pharmaceutical diversion. Prevention of prescription drug procurement through theft or fraud (diversion) are paramount in today’s society.
NADDI of Oklahoma was formed in 2008; many of the current members have been involved from the chapter’s inception. NADDI of Oklahoma has consistently been an active chapter, continually attracting new members from local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, state regulatory agencies, health fraud investigation agencies and pharmacy loss prevention arenas. All of our members enforce the laws and regulations that govern prescription drugs and health care in Oklahoma.
Since one of NADDI of Oklahoma’s main objectives is training, our regional training offers diverse educational topics such as investigation, changes in the law(s), and emerging trends in pharmaceutical drug diversion. The sessions feature guest speakers who share their expertise and experience most relevant to our local, current issues.
Every year, NADDI of Oklahoma presents the Charles V. Ryan Diversion Influence Award. The award has been bestowed annually since 2012 and recognizes administrators, investigators, employees or a business that has had a positive influence for their community, jurisdiction, or the state of Oklahoma in the prevention, investigation and deterrence of pharmaceutical diversion. The 2018 recipient of the award was Detective Joe Gho, a 32-year veteran of the Tulsa Police Department. Joe has worked diligently alongside many people and agencies in the effort to curb pharmaceutical diversion and the costly plague it is on our society. Congratulations Joe!
The membership fee to join NADDI is $50.00 per year and includes your membership in both the National organization and to your local NADDI of Oklahoma Chapter. Members receive access to the benefits of the NADDI Members’ Only resources such as webinars, blogs, and our members directory, as well as, important educational alerts and notices of national and state training’s.
The NADDI of Oklahoma Chapter would like to warmly welcome our members and look forward to networking with you throughout the year!
